NRSN/NORA
pre-meeting

The 2025 NRSN conference was a one-and-a-half day event and took place at Tøyen hovedgård as a pre-meeting to the FENS Regional Meeting (FRM) in Oslo on Saturday, 14th June, and Sunday, 15th June.

This was the perfect opportunity to prepare for the FRM by meeting other students in neuroscience and AI from all over Norway and to practice your conference and presentation skills in a friendly atmosphere. 

The event was a collaboration between NRSN and the NORA Norwegian AI Research School.

Who could participate?

The conference was open to all members of NRSN and NORA.ai Research School.

Students were encouraged to attend from the very start of their research project to the last year of their PhD, as this gave them the chance to develop their professional network and improve their presentation skills over time, and to receive feedback on their projects at different stages.

NRSN members

There was no registration fee and travel (up to 2500 NOK per person) and accommodation costs were covered by NRSN for all participants who were members by NRSN. Additionally, non-member PhD students, master students, and postdocs whose supervisor had registered NRSN members in their lab were also welcome to attend the conference free of charge.

Nora.ai members

There was no registration fee, and NORA.ai offers funding of up to 1000 NOK for travel and accommodation for its members.
