Abstract
Autoimmune encephalitis (AE) captivates neuroscientists due to the complex interplay between the immune and central nervous system. Studying AE not only illuminates mechanisms of neuroinflammation but also improves our understanding of neuronal dysfunction.
Professor Romana Höftberger, the world-leading expert in the AE neuropathology, will talk about specificities of AE neuropathological processes, fostering fruitful discussions between clinicians and neuroscientists.
Dr. Marianna Spatola will give a talk from the perspectives of cutting-edge research in AE and recent novel studies about the interplay of antibodies and brain targets.
Professor Dr. Carsten Finke will bring additional clinical perspectives from the MRI studies that will further enrich understanding of AE pathology.
